This bridge is at the historic Yuma Crossing. This was the only place that one could cross the Colorado by bridge for miles. This was also the first place a railroad bridge was built across the river.

An interesting not about the bridge...since this was the only place to cross by bridge, during the dust bowl/Great Depressing, California had agents at the bridge and would not allow people into California unless they had a job!
