Every January 1, Cayucos, a small beach town in California, sponsors a Polar Bear Dip.  This is an event in which people jump into the cold Pacific waters at 12 noon. Why do people do it?...I don't know, but they do!

This year, 2010, Rebecca, Amanda, and Emma decided to do it.  This was their second time...they had done it the previous year.
