After checking into our motel, we drove a few miles north of Florence to visit the Sea Lion Caves. This is a tourist attraction that has been around (I think) since the 1920's. It is a legitimate nature attraction that consists of a giant sea cave formed by the ocean where sea lions hang out---VERY interesting and worth seeing.
